Sow flat on any rich, rocky soil in a sunny spot. After germination place seedlings in partial shade. Keep slightly drier and very sunny in winter at a minimum of some 10°C.

20 (40)cm, Smooth Golden Fleece is a showy perennial with several very large (up to 8cm in diameter), pale yellow flower heads. It is native of sunny, rocky sites in the western and central Mediterranean (Spain to Serbia). Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep dryer and frostfree at a minimum of some 5°C. V-VI.
