Lavandula (Canary Islands' Lavender)

Canary Lavender, growing in any well drained soil in a sunny spot, reduce watering in winter to a minimum.
Sow on any well drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Cover seeds only slightly, keep at a minimum of some 15°C. Germination starts within 3 to 6 weeks. All Canary Lavender are easy to grown and show a superb fragrance. Require a sunny and frostfree spot at minimum 10°C in winter.
All are USDA Climate Zone 9 unless otherwise stated.

Makes narrow, grayish leaves and dense spikes of dark purple, tubular flowers in summer. A particularly attractive feature of this plant are the prominent violet-purple bracts on top of each flower spike.
