Chinaberry Tree is a deciduous, robust and fast growing small tree from China with an open crown and broad feathered leaves and pendulous clusters of fragrant, pale rose to lilac flowers followed by showy round, yellowish fruits in autumn. A half winter hardy tree for any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot, either grown in the garden with some winter protection in colder regions or as a container plant with a minimum of some 5°C and reduced watering.
Sow the large seeds in any humus rich, well drained substrate at a minimum of some 20°C throughout the year. Keep seedlings very sunny.
All are USDA Climate Zone 8.
