Paradisea (St. Bruno's Lily)

Paradise Lily or St. Bruno's Lily is a small genus which is close to Asphodelus with more elegant, larger white flowers on narrow upright stalks. For any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot.
Sow preferably in spring at some 5°C to 15°C in any well drained, rather sandy soil in a sunny position. Transplant dormant rhizomes in autumn to a sunny spot in the open garden. Give a thick layer of some extra draining material (e.g. grit sand) on the bottom of the planting hole. Leave plants undisturbed so that they will develop their full beauty in time. A rather rarely known, yet very ornamental genus for the connoisseur.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
