Borago (Borage)

Borage belongs to a small of only five annual to perennial species from the Western Mediterranean and Western North Africa. It is an easily grown annual with large, bristly leaves and terminal branching racemes with showy sky-blue flowers which are much beloved by bees. It is easily grown in any humus rich, well drained soil in a fresh spot in full sun. Under appropriate conditions this species will readily self-sow.
