| These seven unique mixes of perennial North American wildflowers are native of prairies, montane and dry grasslands as well as subalpine regions. These special mixes will create a succession of ornamental flowers in profusion which are much beloved by bees,
bumble-bees and butterflies from mid April through end of September. These wildflower seed mixes suit most conditions in your garden. They show a fantastic multi-color-display and can be even grown in containers or larger pots. Last but not least they are easily managed and include non-invasive species only. Plants in these mixes are mostly fully winter hardy perennials and are easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. The final size of plants covers a range from 20cm to 120cm in height (180cm in Seed Mix No. 7: Dry Shrub Wildflowers). |
|
| Each mix contains
a well arranged balance of species. The percentage (weight ratio) of each species is shown in the product details below. The
seed quantity per 5g of each mix is sufficient for a minimum of some 5m2 or 15 large pots or containers.
All wildflower mixes can be combined and sowed together. Please note that our high quality mixes of true wild, correctly identified, superior North American species do not have anything in common with the mixes of unkown, maybe even weedy, less attractive and weaker species in uncertain proportions you may find for a couple of pennies in your local discounter or garden store! |

| Sowing recommendations for best flowering results: Mix each 5g of seed with some 3 liters of a 50:50 mix made up of sand and any rich, well-draining substrate. Distribute a thin layer of the seed-sand-substrate mix onto the prepared, loosened and weed free ground. Carefully water thoroughly. Germination occurs from mid autumn to late spring. Several species will flower in the first year already, all others will start to flower in their second year after sowing. We recommend to spare some seeds for a later second sowing, wherever there's some space left. Keep the seed mix in the refrigerator at some 5°C to 10°C (40°F to 50°F) in order to maintain a high seed viability until being used. |

| Note: Seed mixes cannot be delivered to customers in Australia, Canada, and the USA. From all linked species below pure seed is available. You may want to order single seed packages instead. |
