Linum (Flax)

Linum are elegant perennials for the rock garden in a partially shaded to sunny and dryish position. They make many erect to slightly pendulous flower stalks with delightful bluish-green foliage and many ephemeral flowers in blue-shades for several weeks in succession.
Sow flat in any well drained soil from early autumn to late spring. Several seeds may not germinate before spring of the second year after sowing, thus do not empty pots with ungerminated seeds too early ! Protect pots from rodents, as seedlings and young plants are their delicacy. Transplant in summer or as soon as plants are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
20 seeds per package.
