They are fast growing and display several bright colored flowers in summer above glaucous, dissected leaves. They are easily grown in any rich, very well drained, preferably rocky or dryish soil in a protected spot in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. Annual species will readily self sow under appropriate conditions.
Sow seeds flat to the final spot in the garden after the last freezing nights from mid spring to early summer.
All are USDA Climate Zone 7/8.
