Narcissus (Daffodil)

Daffodils, best planted in small groups or for naturalizing in grass. Delicate dwarf species most suitable for alpine garden among rocks.
Sow in any well drained, rather inorganic soil (crushed lava or grit sand) at a minimum of some 10°C in spring, pre-cultivation in pots for two years. Transplant bulbs in summer after leaves withered.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6 unless otherwise specified.

Narcissus elegans

20 (35)cm, a winter flowering dwarf species from the western Mediterranean region with several extremely strong perfumed miniature flowers on narrow stalks above grass-like leaves. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. In winter keep frostfree at a minimum of some 5°C. Excellent in a cool greenhouse or wintergarden. Please note that offered bulbs are flowering size and were in growth when lifted and all leaves and roots have been cut off. Bulbs may not come into new full growth again before autumn the following year! IX-XI.
