Roger's Flower are utmost ornamental herbaceous, very long-lived perennials with a slightly creeping underground rootstock. They are native of open spots in woods in eastern Asia. They make very large leaves and tall and broad inflorescences with creamy-white to greenish-white flowers. Leaves additionally display a showy yellow to bronze autumn color. All Rodgersia species are easily grown in any humus rich, well drained, preferably slightly moist soil in partial shade.
Sow dust like seeds on any rich, well drained soil. Do not cover seeds with soil and keep pots outside in a protected spot in partial shade. Carefully transplant young plants to the final spot in the garden as soon as they are strong enough in their second or third year.
