Discount for Botanical Gardens and non-commercial Research Institutions

Parts of our propagation cultures are based on seeds received from botanical gardens for a donation or in plant auctions. In accordance with the Rio de Janeiro Convention on biological diversity (1992) and commercial use of such genetic material we grant to universitairy botanical gardens and other non-commercial research institutions a discount of 30% on value of goods.

In order to assign an appropriate discount to your customer account, please send us an informal confirmation that seeds are intended exclusively for non-commercial research purposes or for a culture in a botanical garden before placing an order. The confirmation can be sent either by email (info[ at ]rareplants.de) or by fax (+49 (0) 3212-1284583) and must carry an official logo of your institution and include your complete postal address and telephone number.

After assigning the customer discount we will send you a corresponding email confirmation and you can place an order in the shop.

If you require only few species (up to 3 packages), please contact us first via email. We will check availability of seeds and if our stock is sufficient, we will send these seed packages free-of-charge to you, provided that www.rareplants.de will be cited as the supplier in all scientific publications or plant cultivations open to the public.
